Warranty

Every part sold on Karraz Motors is covered by the two-year legal guarantee of conformity. Here is what it covers, what it does not, and how to claim.

Legal guarantee of conformity: 2 years

As a professional seller established in the European Union, we must deliver goods that conform to the contract. If a lack of conformity appears within two years of delivery, repair or replacement is at our expense, at no cost to you.

During the first twelve months, a defect that appears is presumed to have existed at delivery: you have nothing to prove. Beyond that, you may be asked to show the defect is not due to use.

  • Duration: 2 years from delivery of the part.
  • Part not conforming, faulty on delivery or not matching the description: repair, replacement or refund.
  • Return, labour and reshipment costs are ours when the guarantee applies.
  • This guarantee is independent of any commercial warranty from the manufacturer: it adds to it and cannot be reduced by it.

Manufacturer warranties

Some brands add their own commercial warranty, sometimes longer or with services attached (brand-new exchange, fitting covered at a partner workshop). Where it exists, its duration and conditions are shown on the product page and in the documentation supplied with the part.

A manufacturer warranty never replaces the legal guarantee: you remain free to come to us during the two years, even if the manufacturer offers a direct procedure.

What is not covered

The guarantee covers defects in the part, not the consequences of its use or fitting. Not covered:

  • Normal wear of consumables: pads, discs, chains, tyres, filters, spark plugs, belts.
  • Damage from fitting that does not follow the manufacturer's instructions, or fitting on an incompatible vehicle.
  • Parts modified, machined, repainted or used in competition.
  • Damage caused by an accident, overheating, lack of maintenance, or unsuitable fuel or lubricant.
  • Related costs: vehicle downtime, towing, loss of use.

Making a claim

Claims are made from your account, with no paper form. The more precise the description, the faster the handling.

  • Open a return from "Your orders", choosing the reason "Faulty part".
  • Attach photos of the defect, the order number and, if the part was fitted, the workshop invoice.
  • We reply within 2 working days with a return label when the part has to come back.
  • After inspection, you receive a replacement part or a refund, with a credit note.
  • Without an account, write to us with the order number and photos: the procedure is the same.

Warranty or withdrawal: what is the difference?

Withdrawal lets you send back a part that does not suit you within 14 days of receipt, with no reason to give; the part must be new and unfitted.

The guarantee does not depend on a cooling-off period: it applies for two years as soon as the part is defective, even fitted and used.

Frequently asked questions

Does the guarantee run from purchase or from delivery?

From delivery of the part, the date shown in your order tracking and on the invoice.

Is a part I fitted myself still under guarantee?

Yes, if the fitting follows the manufacturer's instructions. Fitting that does not comply, however, voids the cover.

Do I have to keep the original packaging?

It is not required for the legal guarantee, but keeping the original packaging makes the return easier and protects the part in transit.

What if the part is no longer manufactured?

If replacement is impossible, we offer an equivalent part or a full refund, as you prefer.

Does the guarantee apply to discounted parts?

Yes. A reduced price changes nothing about the legal guarantee of conformity.
