The housing of Mahle oil filter cartridges, made from deep-drawn steel sheet and powder-coated, is equipped with a polygon wrench flat for faster filter removal. is equipped with a polygon. Advantages of Mahle oil filters - cold start resistance ensured by stable pleat geometry - reliable separation of contaminated oil and filtered oil thanks to high-quality sealing materials and perfectly matched connecting parts - pressure peaks up to 20 bar are compensated by the high pressure resistance of the housing - oil supply ensured at all times by a pressure relief valve (in case of viscous oil, as during cold start phases or in case of low outside temperatures, as well as in case of heavily soiled filter element due to exceeding the oil change interval). - The anti-drainback valve prevents the filter from running dry when the engine is stopped and ensures rapid oil supply when starting the engine.
