Replacement connecting rods, reinforced to original specifications. Certified AISI 8620 steel for superior strength. Pins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case-hardened 58-62Rc. With the latest needle bearing, for long life at high RPM. The unique big end design features strategic side ventilation openings to reduce bearing distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double-drilled to provide additional lubrication and cooling to the piston pin needle cage; this is especially important when the piston crown is close to the piston pin needle cage. Shot-peened design to remove surface stress risers and to harmoniously integrate the connecting rod's design radii. Double honing to achieve an extremely round bearing surface, for more reliability at high RPM. Connecting rod assemblies are typically supplied complete, with rod, pin, needle cage. Compatible with Hot Rods and OEM crankshafts. Made in U.S.A.; rod manufactured at Hot Rods in Iowa.
