- The KTW2.5 chain tool is the enhanced development of the KTW2.0.
- The tool now includes two pins with different diameters.
- Here, the pre-assembled tip is even more robustly sized and adapted for 5xx and 6xx chains.
- The closed shaft is specially designed for separating 4xx chains.
The Kellermann chain tool allows easy removal of the old and precise assembly of the new chain (with rivet) without having to remove the swingarm from
the rear wheel. Chains from major brands (e.g. DID, Regina, RK, etc.) can be separated and riveted with hollow rivet locks. For
use
a 19mm hex key or
a socket wrench is only required.
The chain tool
consists of the main power transmission tool and a patented positioning device for
mounting the rivet lock, which is characterized by a completely new and simple slide-on possibility for the side plate of the chain lock. This newly developed magnetic positioning ensures simple
and very precise mounting of the side plate of the chain lock.
The available printed version and the magnets in the pressure plate hold the two parts of the chain lock and allow
through the guide a precise,
easy and practical alignment of the chain lock parts to each other.
This is crucial for damage-free mounting of the chain lock, and can be checked
through the cutouts in the pressure plate at any time.
Furthermore, the magnets ensure that the positioning of the chain pins sticks and does not need to be constantly re-adjusted.
With the main tool, the positioning unit can be used to hang the side plate of the chain lock; a step that can take a lot
of time and be very stressful without the new positioning device.
The pressure - and counter

plate are designed
so that they extend
through the adjacent chain links,
so you can see with the naked eye during
assembly
of the chain lock, when the tab is properly pushed onto both pins.
Otherwise frequent damage
to the chain or chain lock are
to a large extent excluded by
assembly errors.
It is suitable for all 4, 5 and 6 series pitch chains.
It can separate chains from all
major brands and rivet hollow rivet locks.
!!! ATTENTION !!! ACCESSORIES !!!! The tool is suitable when
you
use the rivet head former for solid rivet locks.
Rec. torque:
4-series chains: 10Nm
5-series chains: 20Nm
6-series chains: 25Nm
A torque of more
than 35 Nm can damage the tool!
