EBC Prolite Brake Disc, Full Floater EBC replaces the original rigid disc with a Full Floater disc. Full Floaters, whose manufacturing is very complex and costly, nevertheless offer decisive advantages in terms of braking. The brake ring, sawn, drilled and ground from HPSR forged steel ingots, can expand freely without deforming, even during repeated full braking, for example when descending mountain passes. Here too, the low carbon content of the HPSR steel used proves its worth, as it ensures very little change in the steel structure under the permanent thermal stress of heating and cooling of the brake disc during intensive road use. An EBC Full Floater brake disc always represents a clear gain in safety. - Brake ring machined from low-carbon HPSR forged steel. - The disc therefore does not deform, even under maximum load. - No glazing of the braking surface, so the coefficient of friction remains constant. - Braking surface drilled with an optimized hole pattern. - Galvanized for corrosion protection. - Anodized aluminum hub. - Minimal manufacturing tolerances. - EBC recommends EBC Double-H Sinter brake pads for better braking performance. - Unique design.
