EBC HPSR brake disc, rigid version. MADE IN THE UK. The goal of this development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses a low-carbon HPSR steel, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. Furthermore, the entire surface is protected by a 3-micron thick zinc layer, which wears away at the brake pad contact area during braking. Only in this area can light rust form after a long period of use. The brake discs are drilled in a birdcage pattern to use the fewest holes possible while optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes, the better the wet weather braking performance and the lower the wear. - Brake ring milled from low-carbon forged HPSR steel. - Therefore, no disc warping, even under maximum load. - No glazing of the braking surface, so the coefficient of friction remains constant. - Braking surface drilled with an optimized hole pattern. - Galvanized to protect against corrosion. - Lowest manufacturing tolerances. - EBC recommends EBC Double-H Sintered brake pads for better braking performance. - Independent design. COLOR: GOLD.
