Athena cylinder kit For over 10 years, Athena has invested in the best and most modern technologies for manufacturing cylinders and their components, which are used not only by OE manufacturers, but also by the world's best racing teams. Finally, the manufacturing of aluminum cylinders is constantly improved through collaboration with the best Italian universities and the permanent development requests from the best engine tuners. Thanks to a flexible production department, Athena is able to react effectively to different situations (OE manufacturer production batches, small quantities, prototype construction for a racing team). Athena cylinders are made from high-quality aluminum alloys. They are manufactured considering the latest technologies and are coated with a nickel-silicon alloy. After undergoing strict quality controls, all cylinders meet the highest standards for reliability, longevity and performance. Features: - Special 3D software is capable of generating virtual simulations and mechanical stresses. - Aluminum cylinders are cast in steel molds and manufactured using CNC machines (tolerances to the thousandth can thus be guaranteed at all stages of manufacturing). - Revised water channels to increase capacity - Cylinder liners are composed of a special mixture of silicon carbide and nickel to guarantee the best piston mileage as well as the best cylinder durability. - Tested at an interior temperature of about 20 degrees, for the best possible control of bores and cylinders - Cylinder surfaces are perfectly flat in order to eliminate any fitting imperfection Technical data: Cylinder material: aluminum Cooling type: water-cooled Bore: 100 mm Stroke: 62.1 mm Displacement: 493 cc Compression ratio: 12.7:1 Piston pin diameter: 19 mm Number of piston rings: 2 Cylinder head: Not supplied Maximum power at crankshaft: 50.1 HP / 8,000 RPM.
